Online Roulette Rules

Roulette is derived from a French word that means a small wheel. This is a game with a long history and goes back to the Seventeenth century when it was invented by the famous French math guru named Blaise Pascal. Modern Roulette has evolved and changed alot though. There are 3 modern versions of Roulette. They are known as the American, the British, and the French versions of the Roulette. The all round concept of the game Roulette are the same though.

The first modern Roulette wheel, with its alternating colours and odd/even numbers, was also used in France - in a Paris casino. Years later the Game arrived in the US - sometime in the early 1800s. Western miners and gold speculators embraced the game and it became very popular in the United States, particularly in the west and during the historical Golden Era period especially with those who thrived on luck and fortune..

Obviously with the advent of online gambling Roulette has been taken up. The basics of Roulette is a ball spinning around a wheel with odd and even numbers coloured red and black. The player chooses either an exact number or either red or black. Roulette is essentially a game that is 50 / 50 chance. There is no odds on Roulette but purely chance. This is of course when black and red is betted on. The payoffs depend on the kind of bet you make, which roulette wheel you are playing and which casino. Again, lots of choices exist. It's possible, for example, to bet on odd or even numbers, red or black (or the green "zero" slot), groupings of numbers, as well as columns and rows.

17th Century E.O. wheel with gamblers
The game has been played in its current form since as early as 1796 in Paris. The earliest description of the roulette game in its current form is found in a French novel "La Roulette, ou le Jour" by Jaques Lablee, which describes a roulette wheel in the Palais Royal in Paris in 1796. The description included the house pockets, "There are exactly two slots reserved for the bank, whence it derives its sole mathematical advantage." It then goes on to describe the layout with, "...two betting spaces containing the bank's two numbers, zero and double zero." The book was published in 1801. An even earlier reference to a game of this name was published in regulations for New France (Canada) in 1758, which banned the games of "dice, hoca, faro, and Roulette.".

Probabilities on Roulette:
The American Roulette wheel has 36 regular numbers, a zero, and a double-zero. Therefore, you have 38 possible spaces on which the ball could land. So when you are betting on a single number, you have a possible 1 in 38 chance of winning. As a possibility you might win 1 out of every 38 spins, but this is where theory and reality meets. It is not to say that this 1 out of 38 spins will be in an exact wining sequence, as the factor of probabilities are being activated with each spin. It can also be favourable for the player more than once during a 38 - spin sequence. Red and Black bets are still the best with a 46% chance. This therefore makes it a very unpredictable game but also the odds for me are the best with this game.

Roulette Strategy:
Never pay anything for a roulette strategy book or system they don't work!. Roulette is a game of chance and purely random therefore no system can work. One tip that would be useful is look for the single zero Roulette game. This makes the odds slightly in favour to the player.

Make sure to set a goal before you start gambling. For example, If you start with R200 decide to stop gambling if or when your bankroll reach R400. If you keep gambling in the same session you will always end up losing - because of something called the long tune house edge in the gambling game , this occurs based on a theory that consecutive bets straight through would start bringing out the house odds. so you would start to see the house edge creep in instead on the random luck of a few hands

We tested the odds on Roulette at this casino and came out with 200% profit margin. That's great in online odds. I would recommend that you don't bet on a number but bet on the colours red or black. This gives an odds of 50%.
